How do I fix this? I ordered an algae control bottle? With that do?

To me looks like a mix of cyano and diatoms. Staying patient and doing weekly water changes will help. Suggest getting a ro/di. A good one could come from Brs(Bulk reef supply). Also looking at your filtration one small hang-on filter won't be sufficient if you plan to get corals. But if you go Fowler(Fish only with live rock) you might be ok. I know this may seem a lot to you right now but you will get the hang of it. After you get over this battle you will enjoy your tank every day as I do with mine.

the RODI’s are supper expensive and can’t afford. Is there a way to maybe do it cheaper?

Rodi units might seem big and expensive, but they dont have to be. This unit here is used by many reefers and it works great :)

I don't see any power heads, is there any circulation besides the HOB? I would also consider adding some more live rock if possible.

What you're seeing is pretty common in new tanks and should improve on it's own if you maintain good parameters and don't over feed. Boosting your filtration with a bigger or second HOB/more rock might help with nutrient export some as well.

It seems overwhelming when you first start but read/ask/apply...rinse and repeat.

patients patients. 2 months is to soon. 4-5 months is average. put a power head in there to move the co2.

Agree with above. I would also caution against dosing algaecides as they may deplete the water of oxygen and kill your fish.

Can you get distilled water from the store? If an ro/di unit is out of the price range this may be a good option till you can get one.

I use to go to Wal-Mart twice a week to fill up my 5 gallon blue water bottles with rodi water.

Agree with others.. RODI or similar is a must! A little more rock wouldn’t hurt but not your issue, this is typical new tank ugly’s.. slow way down! I don’t put anything in my new tanks for several months. I ran several nano/Pico tanks for many years using cheap .89 cent Walmart distilled water in bottles.. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEIR SELF SERVICE MACHINE to be making “0” TDS water. PLEASE do not use “magic” algae cures in a bottle.. really bad idea!
