added this algae to my tank and two days later my clownfish died also added a goby totalling three fish before it died in a 30 gallo, I read that algae may decrease oxygen in the tank, checked my water and it's fine, any ideasm

Have you tested your ammonia levels? (nitrate, phosphate...?) Without really knowing more details (flow, salinity, temperature, etc.) it's hard to guess. Are those all (mostly?) fake plants?

this is the second clownfish introduced to the tank and it's been up for 2 months

no change in behavior, the only thing I can think about is that the LG either took up too much oxygen in the tank or was contaminated.

yes I've tested everything and ity fine only the algae is real
I think people will want to see actual levels vs ‘fine’ to steer you in the right direction.
Out of curiosity, what’s used for aeration? Filter. Skimmer. Wave maker ?

I'm no chemist, but as I understand it, algea uses carbon dioxide- not oxygen. Proven by a increase in ph while the lights are on and the algea is growing

I have a nano reef glass protein skimmer and two fans on each side of the tank totaling 480 gpH and it is a 30 gallon bow front tank

I also have two turbo snails and two small snails that changes anything

HELP! SO ONE WAS NEAR DEATH AND NOW I'M BACK AT THE TANK AND HE'S SWIMMING AT THE TOP

I don’t think this has anything to do with the algae. Even if the algae came from a disease infected tank, the fish died two days later. Not really long enough time for the macro to be the cause.

Any serious toxins to kill fish would have killed the inverts too.

It’s not going to mess up your oxygen either.

It’s probably a coincidence and the fish already had a parasite and they happened to die two days after.

Do you have any rock in there? I mean reef rock sold as dry or live. I am wondering if you are going to have enough biological filtration.

I see lots of fake decor. Sometimes they are not appropriate for saltwater environment as it is a much harsher environment than fresh.

When were the fish added?

I second Tamberav-tanks sem to be overfilled with some artificial decor, there seem to be insufficient flow. I would check water parameters at LFS, I suspect surprise, but not in a good sense. For now I would work on flow and aerating tank.

Do you have a video you can share to help with diagnosis?
thank you for responding but I didn't see your message and it died today, there's still a goby and 4 snails living the lfs said that amonia and nitrite was .1 and that I had low magnesium, I also have a two small pieces of eco bio block, and man I'm getting demotivated as this is my second time trying to start a tank

one about a month ago then a week later another clown, and then a week later a goby
