algae problem/help..

Whats up Randy. Last week my tank crash. Ro/Di water stayed on and salinity went to .90. With that being said i hurried up and made 55g of 1.026 to get everything back to normal. Now its been 1 week after and there brown algae going on alot of the rocks? I probably will do another water change this Saturday 18g on a 50g tank.
Can you guide me in lowering all of my problems in the tank. First my skimmer is a 110 Reef octopus on a 50g tank" should cover my 7 fish"?Second thing i have went to a 1 day feeding low amount frozen food. Thats about all i got to lower my nitrates/phosphates.

Sounds like you have sent it into a "new cycle". I would wait on another water change for a few weeks unless water quality is bad. I typically will do anywhere from 2 to 4 water changes in tanks if it crashes, causing serious death. I do about a 15 to 20% change once a day for a few days, until death ceases or water stays clear. The brown algae is growing due to nitrite/nitrate level increase. Don't add any fish, corals, or anything else for at least a month after all efforts have been made.
