hey Peeps, getting some algae on my substrate and it's looking very unappealing... is there anything I can do to get rid of it or control it...

It looks to me like your substrate is in the process of going purple. ;)

It's just a matter of time before the larger pebbles are completely covered in Coralline algae.

I agree with this! First comes green then comes pink, purple, red, sometimes blue :)

o well that's Great! So I should just leave it! I had no idea it stated green!

Let's start with your parameters and equipment.
hey, my parameters are perfect, my light is a Orbit Marine Aquarium LED, 10 GAL nano tank, oceanic protein skimmer, 2 hydor Circulation Pumps, HOB filter....ATO etc

Crushed coral substrate? If so then that's the cause, the larger particles will trap detritus and cause algae buildup as a result....At least that's what happened to me in my first tank. I ditched the crushed coral and went with a finer grain sand.
