Im having a really hard time combating green grass looking algae. It is sticking to my corals. I try to remove coral and it is nearly impossible to get the algae off. I try to vacuum suck big chunks off the bottom and that still always leaves about 20% of it. Just did a 50% water change in my 55gal tank. There is a little bubble algae but mostly this green slimy crap. Any thoughts?

Tank age? Kind of sounds like the ugly phase right of passage to me. Manage parameters, manual removal, diversify your CuC, reduce white light, dose live phyto all options that may help you. Are you using RoDi?

If its really difficult, consider fluconazole if it is derbesia hair algae or bryopsis (fluconazole can also impact bubble algae). Emerald crabs would be another thing to consider

Do you have a picture of what it looks like? What are you nitrate and phosphate levels?
