Hello,

My tank is around 1 month. It finished cycling. Can anyone please tell me if this algae is normal and it will pass or do I have to remove it manually.

Thank you

it is normal. You should remove what you can manually and add a cleanup crew to keep algae under control naturally. I highly recommend reefcleaners.org.

Thank you. I already added clean up crew today. So I will remove all I can manually and let the tank be :)

Get a coral-banded shrimp. They eat all types of algae. soon you will come across brown aglee/diatoms. It will thrive in your tank.

To be honest thats an excessive amount algae in only one month old tank, it should not be like that. Are you adding stuff to the tank during the cycle, food or anything else?

Is the tank right beside a window? Did you leave the lights on for the cycle?

Do you have any powerheads in the tank? Flow will really help.

Are you using rodi water or tap water?

Yes I left lights on for 7h when cycling.
I didn’t add anything to the tank when it was cycling. I was using Aquaroum System start your reef. And yes I do have powerhead and using rodi water.
