kill you lights and stop all feeding.

Should go away in a few days.

then resume with less lighting and feeding and adjust to macros, corals, corralins algae thrive but not the uglies.

IMHO it is also important and helpful to balance out and stabilize the system with macro algaes or an algae turf scrubber.

my .02

I don't have room in my sump for a refugeum or I would so do just kill the lights for a few days and when I turn them back on should I turn my light period down 2 about 6 hours a day and slowly work my way back up and I only feed once day should I feed every other day for a while

Ok so I went dark in my tank for 2 days and didn't feed and now after a day of light it is right back to brown algae everywhere

Its diatoms, you stir up the tank when you moved it, they will go away by them selves again.
Also, have you gotten a new light set up ? This too will start them back up, especially if you went to LEDs.
Some of that rock in those pics seems brand new, so I'd just sit back and relax, the tank will clear itself.

How old are your bulbs/type?
What is your source of water? Tap or RO/DI?
What type of water are you using for top off?
Have you added any new rock/sand lately?

I have a 4 bulb t5 fixture with a blue and a purple acentic and 2 12000k whites and use rodi water for everything that make myself at 0 Tds
