I currently have a 10 gallon tank for a single clownfish and I am waiting until I can add him to a bigger tank: a 32.5 flex. Currenfly the 10 gallon is very dirty, I realize that nitrates and certain water parameters are bad but Is algae bad for fish? I mean like hair algae and green stuff? are there any negative affects to fish that come through algae directly? I do usual water changes on the tank.

Blue green algae is bad. Cyanobacteria can produce toxins also. Just depends on what you are dealing with.
Ok, i will try to get rid of the cyano i have, but is hair algae bad? Im most likely gonna get an emerald crab to get rid of it either way.
