Algae reactor invaded by GHA

Hi guys, my chaeto reactor is gettin full of GHA, chaeto grew really well for a couple of month but now is about 10 days i've noticing gha is gettin hold of it killing chaeto.

My tough. If i take out the chaeto and just leave the gha it can work as a algae scrubber?

don't know either but i wonder what coul be different other than the air contact. I mean, i do have made some kind of plasti grid ring to divide the reactor in 2 section (top and bottom) and gha seems to develop on the grid exactly like the gha on the ATS. but it's just speculation
