Algae reactor question

Finally got cheato to grow in my reactor, its growing pretty fast, only been running about 10 days. My question is how fast will it start controlling nutrients ? And should I run gfo along side the reactor ?? And are they the magic bullets lol Male then out to be ? Or an I expecting to much? Lol

Tank is 150 gal. I run a reactor not a fuge
