Has anyone used the 2 Little Fishes 150 reactor to make an algae reactor?

Thanks

People have, and I'v read several experience with them cracking due to the heat of the leds. The plastic on these reactors seem to be too thin for the intensity of some leds. Hopefully someone will chime in with leds that may have worked for them, be sure to ask them how long they have been running it. Their results of nutrient reduction with their choice of leds, light cycle and such.

I’ve been running this one for about 2 months with good success. I placed the LEDs around the inner part of the PVC to avoid them heating and cracking the plastic. I just thinned out the algae reactor this Friday. I was using a mix of macro algaes but decided to go with just chaeto. I was using a 10hr photo period but I’m going to try a 24 period with the chaeto to see about getting some bubble algae under control.
