algae removal

I've got quite the bit of algae build up on my live rock. What kind of algae is this? How can I get rid of it? Is there anything that will eat it?

I notice that when I siphon the algae off, under it, it's almost like white dust coming out and it spreads everywhere. What is this stuff?

too blue to tell, but very likely to be GHA. the white dust is likely to be detritus build up.

pull out as much algae as you can, do some water changes and increase your clean up crew
