Anyone know of any crab (not hermits) that are algae safe, the tank will have a lot of macroalgae so, I've been thinking about porcelain crabs but those do best with a nem and I won't be having any nems in the tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

not all porcelains host nems (most don't)... although they still will pick at algae though not super destructive. Pom pom crabs are another. Pretty much any crab will pick a bit but not on the same level as an emerald crab or such.

Yeah, I would say some sort of Porcelain crabs. There are a lot of different species. You could possibly add a rock flower anemone or two to the tank.
Like the above post mentioned, Pom Pom Crabs would also be good.
Sexy Shrimps could also be good (not crabs but they're a cool invert to hang around the macros)

oh yea, I just dont want anything like an emerald eating it all or something.

Can pom-poms be with conspecifics?

They may fight... I actually had some pretty feisty guys before. One would try and duke it out with my candy cane pistol. I have also had shy ones before too.

Green porcelain crabs like to live in groups... reef cleaners sells them and they don't require nems. There are other colors that can be found too.
