I have a nuvo fusion 20 and I'm starting to wonder if a scrubber would be a more efficient option then a tiny fuge. It looks like the Santa Monica drop .6 would fit perfect if I moved my heater to center return chamber. Then I could also keep my skimmer and media baskets with no problem. Anybody have experience with these scrubbers?

I think that an algae scrubber generally would be more efficient than a small fuge - which won't really do much as far as nutrient export is concerned.

I think the SM upflow scrubbers should in theory work fine as long as you have the right nutrient mix and maintenance routine. The general consensus is that waterfall type scrubbers are more effective - but you really need a sump for that. Good luck!

I thought about doing a DIY upflow or drop style on my 20L nano. I have a upflow on my 90 its going pretty good I agree the water fall would be better tho I do like the upflows as a space saver. I say go for it.
