I'm currently running a detached 30g refugium with my 125g reef tank that is being fed by the manifold. I like having my tank well stocked with fish, as expected my nutrients are higher than what it should be. My corals are doing ok, good color very slow growth despite the high levels phosphate 0.08 hanna checker nitrate 25ppm. I would like to eliminate the refugium only to safe space in my set up. My question to you fellow reefers is, would a algea scrubber do better job removing nutrients than a refugium or should I keep my set up the way it is? Thanks to all of you in advance

If you get a large enough scrubber, yes. But why do you need the extra space the refugium is taking? It has so many benefits

Trying to clean up the clutter a bit. I know the benefits, pods other microphauna and the added water volume. I have room in my sump for the pods to populate. Here is a pic of the set up which is currently in my garage my tank is on the other side of the wall. Just trying to get an educated opinion.
