Algae Scruber

Hi Would like to know if Algae Scrubber is helpful? Which is better quality and reasonable price? I saw the Icecap and seems to like the price,...Did anyone experience it? Is it easy to install?

Reasonable price.? Depends what you mean. If you mean less expensive, then none. Fair value, check out Floyd Turbo’s (reef2reef username) scrubbers. When I buy, I’m prob going to get it from him.

Personally I think the waterfall designs are better than the bubble ups, but YMMV.

Built a waterfall my self, just a piece of PVC with a slit in it then some needle mesh attached to a 1/4" ridged tube along the top. Slide the mesh into the slit in the PVC and plumb in the pvc over your sump, hang algae grow lights over it. Simple and effective.
