Algae slime ID

So this is my first salwater tank, its a waterbox cube 20, im primarily a freshwater guy but decided to give saltwater a try, now this tank has been cycled and been running for about 3-4 months now, i have this algae build up or whatever it is, its kind of like a carpet if that makes sense. im abit stumped on what to do with it, just makes the tank look horrible, but would just like advice on what to do and what it is, its almost like a green slime carpet, ive removed alot of it off the sand but its got turned over into the sand as well now making the sand also horrible.

Are you seeing a lot of it on the glass and fixtures in the tank as well? Is the water slightly cloudy? It could be a bacterial bloom... What are your nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia? Have you checked your phosphates? Did you start with live sand/live rock or use some bacteria starter or did you start with dry rock, sand, and no bacteria? Any recent deaths or additions to the tank?

Il do a test shortly, water is crystal clear, started with dry rock and live sand this algae was here just after I added 2 clowns , my recent additions have been a turbo snail and 3 nerite snails

If it's a fairly new tank i would let it play out, and continue with your weekly water changes.

Did you run any beneficial bacteria like Microbacter 7
