Algae Srubber - New Tank

My tank has been up and running a couple weeks now, wondering if I should hold off on running my algae srubber, or turn it on now? i thought i read somewhere wait until i see algae in the DT.

I added mine after a couple of months and it took weeks before it developed algae and then it blew up!!!
You could wait but no harm to start now.

What schedule should i run the lights for it? and when i turn the lights on it out, should i also shut the pump for it, or keep that running 24/7?
