I have a 55 gallon, im using ro di water. After noticing i had extremely long growing red algae strands on my rocks, i replaced the 2 white bulbs in my light fixture. now i have green hair algae growing bad on the left side of my tank and some slime algae on the sand. Do i need to replace the blue bulbs or what do i need to do??

-side note: this rock thats covered in thehair algae is against the side of the tank, could it be water flow causing all this hair algae? Its all over one side of the rock and its covering the powerhead also.

You might get more responses if this were in the proper forum. Maybe a mod can move it.
Algae problems almost always are nutrient problems. There are many ways to deal with it but it all goes back to removing excess nutrients and limiting the nutrients put into the tank. Is this a fish or a reef tank? What equipment are you using? What is your maintenance routine? Using RODI? Water parameters? etc etc

If it is just one side of the rock and powerhead, get rid of the rock and soak the powerhead in freshwater.....or something else to kill the algae. Then I would suggest addressing high nutrients......
