Algae treatment

Depends, what are you specifically trying to solve? I prefer a multi angle approach.

I would not use either. That is varsity level reef chemistry, and algae is almost always just a stage in a tank breaking in. And in any event, that sounds like cyano. I'd get a UV unit before I dosed NOPOX (been down that route, nothing but headaches). Also use chemiclean.

I just used Chemiclean, and it made a HUGE difference. Dosed it last Friday and did a 20% water change Sunday. My skimmer is still acting like it's supercharged. I don't have a waste issue, 10 fish and a couple of hermit crabs in a Reefer 350.

It works really well as long the directions are followed
