Algae type

Hello Reef2Reef members! , this is my first post on here and i am very curious to know what this type of algae this is. From looking at some google images i think its bryopsis but not 100% sure. my tank parameters are good and do weekly water changes as well. i started noticing that its also growing on the sand as well. so i know its spreading and want to attack it before it gets even worse. (i also do the toothbrush method with brushing it off but a few weeks later it grows right back )If anyone has any experience with this type of algae please help me out. i will gladly appreciate it.

second pic looks a little like bryopsis, I had that stuff in one of my tanks (alright two of them) the first tank just seemed to fade away over time (was years ago), my 300 has a small patch left about half dollar sized that seems to be fading fast. Not sure if it due to the fact I started vinegar dosing about 3 months back, but IMO I think all the tanks have never looked better since doing that. read about it at this great place you may have heard of reef2reef ;-)

My guess is green hair algae as well. And that's all I really know about hair algae

Im thinking bryopsis. That second pic seems like it to me. Looking at the tips on those branches seems like the fern like growth. If you can remove it and any rock with it, that is best. You can treat the rock with peroxide but in my exp it usually comes back on me.

I'm doing my testings tonight, i will have an answer for you, i havent tested in a while because i mostly am consistently changing my water every week. one thing is is dont have a reactor which i am assuming to this outbreak.

Hi,

When you have Low nutrients it is probably derbesia algea.
I didn´t think it´s bryopsis.

It took me almost 6 months to come back with an answer as I defeated w.e type of algae I had going on. As of two full months I have none detected as of right now. I added a larger cuc crew and changed salt from RC to Red Sea pro. All looking good now.
