Hi all. Ive recently had this algae bloom out of nowhere. No3 4.8, po4 0.03 and this still bloomed. Any ideas on type? Im day 6 into flux rx. Lights 2 radion xr15 blue. Turned white and red off running at 50% now. Looks like its still growing in places

Not dinos. Its a combo of GHA and Bryopsis. For both, First pull what you can by hand - More the better.
Then using a dental pick or small crochet needle, pull off the roots. YOU MUST remove roots or it will keep coming back.
You can then reduce white light intensity . Add cleaners to finish cleanup such as Emerald crabs (which I do not trust), LG astrea snails. chiton snails, Pitho crabs, and pin cushion urchins and turbo grazers.

I think you were still uploading images as only the first few appeared when I viewed your post.
Ah ok buddy. Just hope this flux rx takes hold and starts working like it has done for so many others. It doesnt look as lush bright green as it did before now and seems to be more bits floating around than before. Also seems to blow off the rocks a bit easy now too

No worries - best of luck in treating it. Ring Cowries are supposedly good at tackling some of the ickier algae (dinos, etc.) so they might be worth looking into as well (I have a large green emerald crab but I think he's more interested in foraging through my zoanthids than anything else).

I had 2 emeralds. They ate my trumpet corals and started on my zoas so they went

@vetteguy53081 is there anything else i can do to overcome this? What usually is the route course?

It's probably some type of green hair algae. Flux takes about 2 weeks. The red and white light aren't going to change anything. You just need more to eat it. Manually remove what you can and then add some big turbo snails

Thanks mate didnt think it was dinos as green. Should this flux rx kill both of these @vetteguy53081
To me Fluconasal is an alternative and not a total solution. While it will remove food source from algae, you must get rid of roots which flux likely will not
