Algae. What am i getting into

Tank is 2.5 months old. Cleaned up most the algae so it doesn't look too bad. Is this a certain type of algae? Bad? Seems hairy, gets long. Gets bubbly I feel like and creates almost a layer. I hydro dipped my GSP because of it. Hope I didn't kill it..

Sounds even more like Dinos with this and your previous posts now. Could but another algae or bacteria but the long strands and bubbles are a pretty good indicator. Does it come right back after you clean it? Does it look better in the morning and get worse throughout the day?

Takes I'd say 2-3 days to "noticeably" come back...lol idk how to explain..and no not so much the morning thing, I've heard of that but haven't experienced it..

Don't need white just blue and UV . A new talk will be an algae magnet with whites. Should have waited 4 months before adding corals and light to allow your tank to build biodiversity.

Dont make any alterations until you can verify what you have.
Dinos have bubbles, but so does lingbya and calothrix. This needs to be identified.
