hi!

Just returned from vacation and have a lot of this bright green algae. Is this good or bad algae?

That is a natural process. It's not good or bad just depends if it is left to develop into something more.
Time for some snails perhaps :)
 
it also quite likely the green phase of coralline algae. if its not hairy or fuzzy or blow of with a turkey baster

I wouldn't feel compelled to do anything different at this point.

If you have no corals depending on the light, you could cut the quantity of light over the tank....but that's about all I'd say at this point.
