I have an algae and I'm dosing vibrant and red Sea no pox and it looks like hair algae but I'm starting to think that it's not that because I've been dosing vibrant for a few months and it isn't going away and people have said that vibrant normally kills it with a couple of doses and this morning I looked at it and there are pods in the algae and there dead and there's a bunch of pods on my other rocks and the pods that are on the algae weren't there yesterday and lastnight so I'm wondering if it's another type of algae can anyone help me out with this and here's a picture of the algae and it's only in the one spot to but here's the picture of the algae

youre dosing vibrant and nopox at the same time?!
Why? theyre basically the same...so youre putting in 2x as much as you should be.
It does look like hair algae thats withering away (ie not as thick)

I was dosing no pox before the vibrant and I don't dose the whole amount and the guy on the vibrant thread said that there fine to dose together

I was always told not to stop dosing no pox or stuff will get worse and the guy that is awnsering questions on the vibrant thread said that they could be dosed together and I was already dosing no pox so I didn't know if I could stop dosing it like I just said and I've been dosing the vibrant for a few months now and i was told that hair algae would die with a couple of doses and it hasn't and the no pox I started a month before the vibrant and it's still there so I don't know why it's not gone yet because all together I've been dosing these 2 things for about 3 months now and I use rodi water and I change around half of my water every 2 weeks

So I just don't understand why it's not gone yet and I don't feed alot either because I only have 2 clownfish and a few corals and anemones in the tank which I directly feed the corals with a plastic squeeze bottle so I just don't understand why it's not going away and there's dead pods in the algae and there's a bunch of pods on other rocks in the tank that are running all over those rocks and everything is heathly in the tank so it just made me think that it's some other type of algae that's all

My lFS told me too raise my mag too 1600-1700 and hair algae will die off .. it worked for me

Ok thanks it's the only algae in the tank and I just can't believe that I can't get rid of it that's all
