Algae

Okay so i've had a tank for about 3 weeks now, it has fully cycled already, i have 2 clowns, 2 pj cardinals, 8 scarlet reef hermits, and a cleaner shrimp.. But i still have a decent amount of algae. What are some fish or other invertebrates that I can add to my tank to help with algae?

That's quite a bio-load for a tank that new....try to be patient while the algae and biofilters re-balance.

I'd like to see more snails and fewer hermits (as in zero) but that's me. They will make it hard to keep snails around, so let them be "it" for now and see how things settle out after 3 or 4 weeks.

In the future I would try to add organisms at a MUCH slower rate....I like to add them one at a time when possible.

This makes it easy to know what to attribute any negative changes to, makes it possible for you to notice the changes a tank goes through when you increase the bio-load, etc.

Good things come from going slow. Nothing good happens fast.

Not sure their scientific name but as my LFS calls them Margarita Snails have worked wonders for me. I only have 4 of them and they are always working.
