Oh no!!! I think you need the flame thrower...

But before we do that, how old is the tank and have you made any changes lately?
 
It just looks like a few small patches of Cyanobacteria IMO. No need to panic, just siphon them out during our next water change and then give the sand a good rinse before putting it back in the tank. You might want to look over the link posted below as well.

That is what I thought as well, partly depressing when you recognise something in a photo because you had it in your tank!

The tank is pushing the 2 year mark. No real change. Some coral removal. A new light. Its just in one area in my tank

Not sure if it is cyano. I went through a cyano issue 8 months ago. The green mat is realy tough. It uses the sand for a base to grow on. Maybe a form of coraline algae? Not to worriex sincd it doesnt grow fast.
 
How does it feel to the touch? Slimy, abrasive, fibrous etc?
