Why my tank sometimes have brown aglae on sand bed.

I have the same problem. Try and increase the flow on the sand bed , feed less, add some sand sifting starfish or gobys and you should be fine.

Some fighting conch will take care of the problem. I got 3 for my 90 gallon tank and they made the sand bed look spotless within 2 weeks.

If the tank is newer it may be diatoms from the cycle. They will die off eventually once everything is equaled out.

I have had issues in the past with diatoms and hair algae in my 27. Recently, I started rinsing my frozen food in a net a couple times and noticed a huge difference. Before, I always used a pipette and drew frozen from water that it thawed out in. Give this a try if not already doing so.
