Most use chaeto. Works great. But I also like to add some Sea Lettuce into the mix.

I like chaeto and sea lettuce too. Although there are so many other types of cool algae that you can also use to export nutrients and that may be more desirable for trading with others. There's two types of red branching bubble macro that I've enjoyed growing before. There's also dragons tongue red with orange tips. So many cool green macros as well

The best depends, but we typically recommend sea lettuce. It grows really fast and consumes a lot of nutrients. Easy to harvest, and doesnt need to be tumbled.
