Its only on the 1 piece of LR atm might sump it or should i turf the whole piece cheersHalimeda. The answer depends. Do you like the look? It can quickly make a home in your display and somewhat take over patches of your reef and possibly smother some corals a bit. It will not be too much of a bother to larger colonies of corals though. I would regularly trim it back and do your best to keep it in check. It is tough to get rid of once in there. It has very fine roots that find and burrow in any nook or cranny and will promptly regrow when you pull it out. It's a bit of a calcium and alkalinity hog if in relative abundance as well... Decisions, decisions...
If you can identify what eats it I'd love to know. I need some of whatever it is.i have received live rock with halimeda. Something always eats it.
I wish I could. Maybe a tang. We had six! I know zebrasoma species don’t particularly like it but we also had an orange shoulder, hippo and Naso. Maybe one of those. If you can identify what eats it I'd love to know. I need some of whatever it is.
Have a Juvenile orange shoulder bar, oceanic tang, convict tang, lawnmower blenny... All won't touch it.I wish I could. Maybe a tang. We had six! I know zebrasoma species don’t particularly like it but we also had an orange shoulder, hippo and Naso. Maybe one of those.
