What is the best way to get rid of algae in small aquariums of 55l? The algae is over growing onto the aquarium glass and we want to get rid of it. We had our aquarium for 3 weeks now.

Normal... did it cycled yet? film and diatoms are normal in a new stablished system, no need to have lights on during this time as they promote such growths.... dou you have a CUC already?
As for the film algae just a regular cleaner or scrapper will do

Film algae on the glass is something we all have to deal with. Just get a Mag Float, or Flipper or one of the other guys out there and wipe down the glass every couple of days. You will get used to it and it only takes a few minutes to wipe it off.

We have a turbo snail, blue legged crab and three zoas. Don’t you have to keep the light on so that the zoas can survive?
