I’ve got some green algae growing. Whay can it be coming from? Is it good or bad?

Green algae..... Lots of different green algae. Need some pictures and tank info so we can help.

Pictures and info defintly help since there are different kinds. Usually algae is good for the tanks ecosystem , but just looks ugly.

My nitrates look low, they look about 2.5

Looks like The start of hair algae imo. When it starts growing get a clean up crew. Urchins are best for this if you can keep them alive long term.
