Good morning all I am scraping My glass every other day and my white rocks are starting to turn brown is this normal or does that mean something is off.

Good morning all I am scraping My glass every other day and my white rocks are starting to turn brown is this normal or does that mean something is off.

If it's a new tank. Most likely diatoms. They'll go away soon. Maybe 1-2 months. Also depending on how big the aquarium is. Diatoms eat silicates. And also need light to survive. I would just let them do their job, it's a natural process. When you do water changes, suck em up with the hose.
