Need help with I'd of this algae. My tank is about 8 years old. Never had this before. Been using vibrant twice a week 25 m. No results. Been taking rocks out and removing algae.

Nitrates 5
Calcium 470.
Magnesium 1250
Salinity . 25

Whats the best way to get rid of it

Lower your phosphates…manually pluck the algae,get a urchin and lower those phosphates

I would also check your source water and make sure you aren't contributing to the issue every time you do a water change thinking it's helping. Have you always had that plastic decoration piece in there?

Been using rodi water from day one. The decorative pieces been in there since day one also. Just started getting this algae outbreak the last few months. I overdosed some red sea nopox when I hooked up a timer for a doser. I have had a hard time getting my phosphates down since day one. That is why I am using nopox. Trying to keep everything in check. My tank is 220 gallon. I have about 10 turbo snails and blue leg hermit crabs.
