Will this product harm my shrimp crabs or pods? Any info appreciated

More than likely not. However products like that are nothing more than a "bandaid" it may work for a little while but unless you get to the root cause it will come back. What are your parameters especially nitrate and phosphate? These are normally the cause of algae issues.
