To those of you that have had these copepods before... are they really so tiny that you cant see them? Im trying to cultivate them and the culture i got looks like it just has a bunch of floating chaeto in it!

Can anyone chime in here and let me know what to expect? I feel like im trying to breed invisible animals!

Yep added a bag to a brand new tank that had nothing but dry base rock put in and a month or so later I looked for the pods and they were there and lots of them as I had nothing that would eat them yet.. Anyway bought the bag from a random lfs that had em on a shelf and they cost 20$ I believe which with all said I was pretty sure I had just wasted 20$ but nope I'd buy that same bag again lol

Whew... what a relief... i totally believed that I bought a bag of water for 18 bucks! lol Do they become more visible over a few days of feeding them you think? cuz i cant imagine any fish being able to see these things, a lot less eat them!

From what I've read, the tisbe pods are some of the smallest which makes them very good food for smaller fish.
I imagine that if you were only 2"or 3" tall, they would be very visible.

I've bought the Algagen Tisbe pods many times myself and while just looking at the bag, it's difficult to see any, but under a magnifying glass you can see them.

They're there... use a magnifying glass and look for something the size of a speck of dust. Their movement is kind of "skittery" if that make sense.

Yeah they are very small I can sometimes see them on my glass if I put my face right up to it.
