Anything I can add to remove it? I keep trying to suck it out but still comes back
I'd get a hose and spray it with as much force as possible on the mesh. I am unsure there is anything you can add to remove it. @brandon429

Do you carbon dose? I saw some of this build up on my filtration media and even in my skimmer when carbon dosing fairly heavily, gradually backed down the amount and it eventually stopped building up.
+1

Carbon dosing will surely grow bacteria. But I can’t say I’ve seen this before. I always thought the bacteria was a whitish color.

I've had whitish water from bacterial blooms, but I was surprised at how much of this gelatinous, even snotty, bacterial slime I got out of my last trip through higher doses. The growth slowed substantially when dialed back, and just recently my skimmer started working way more powerfully and a week or two I moved from 3mL a day to 2mL a day :p

It pays to get out the gunk, and it seems to like high flow (the other concentration was around the edges of some filter media in the media caddy).
