Not sure what type of algae it is but I use a small brush dipped in hydrogen peroxide to carefully scrub plug avoiding coral followed by a good rinsing with tank water.. a standard issue GI M4 cleaning brush works great for this.

Ok thank you is this common this algea build up on frag plugs ?

I've dipped in heavily diluted peroxide for 5 min when bad enough after trying qtips, droppers and brushes first. So far it's just been zoas and palys that have had this issue. It does stress them out for a couple weeks. Make sure they're closed before dipping. Also found asterea snails do a good job of cleaning afterwards.

Peroxide dip has always worked for me as well. If it concerns you, I saw a vid of one guy who uses a bowl to trap a handful of hermit crabs in proximity to his problem plugs for a few days in the tank. Apparently they get hungry and choke down the algae.
