Can anyone help i.d this algea it's also over my rocks as well tank is fairly new just want to know how to attack it

Your tank is cycling if its new thats normal what are your parameters? And get you a clean up crew

When I say new all media rock is transfer from my old tank
Tank is fallow as I had ick/velvet outbreak
No is around 5ppm
Po undectable but that's not supprising consider the algea

Yea that why its normal. Blue dot sand sifting goby will take care of that

Chance it will clear up on its own
Since tank Is fallow I run refugium no filter sock then skimmer after the fuge

You can stir the sanded up with something and the socks will collect it. I used to grab a syphon hose and put the end to the sock holder and sift the sand so the socks can collect the algae and you keep your water so you dont have to do a water change
