Hi reefers,

Is this diatoms or cyno?

Tank is two and a half months old.
I'm using ro water with a tds of 4. It definitely contains silicates, my tank parameters are

10 PM nitrate - 0.25ppm phosphate- 0 silicates in the tank water - lights are on 10 hours per day.

Any ideas on how to get this stuff out. I do 30% water change weekly. I'm considering a algae scrubber.

Looks like diatoms, get the silicates under control and it will sort itself out.

What do you suggest? Di cartrage? It's worth mentioning that it comes off super easy almost in flakes

GFO can remove silicates effectively.
frozen food have silicates too, rinse it with rodi water and net before giving to fish.
