Newer tank. Any idea what kind of algea this is? Started with a combo of some live, and some dry rock. The algea is mostly on the dry rock, not so much the live. It's brownish green and very stringy.

Looks like the start of hair algae. Your tank is newer so I wouldn't sweat it too much, but if you want you could go ahead make get you nitrates and phosphates in check.

Hope this helps.

Phosphates have been high from the beginning, around .3. I started some Rowaphos in a reactor and it's down to .1 now. Nitrates still seem very low, but only using a cheap Seachem kit to test those so it's hard to really tell. Hair algae I can live with, I know that will go away. Just hoping it's not something else that will be more challenging.
