Have I moved from diatoms to green algea? Just trying to be sure what kind of algae this is, thanks!

The bubble stringy algea is probably dinoflagelates. Suck some out and mix it into a small amount if water till its dissolved. Then put it under your light for a hour or two. See if the algea cells have agglutinated or stuck together and formed new strings. Or hit up a microscopes

These are from nutrient imbalances. About can have multiple algeas when a battle of the ecosystem occurs during imbalanced systems. Send a message or search dinoflagalate management
