Hard to tell from the pictures, perhaps green hair algae or green turf algae.

Curious not to see any on the rocks. Do you vacuum the sand bed much?

You parameters look fine -- the nitrate is artificially low as it is bound up in the algae. My guess would be simple green hair algae. Turf I typically see on the rock more than substrate but could be wrong.

If you can get a better image of the stuff we should be able to narrow it down -- and rule out/in bryopsis.

Manual removal is always good regardless of ID. Keeping substrate vacuumed also good.

btw, tank looks old enough that u do not need to test for nitrite any longer. How old is tank?

Do you have any sand critters?
Wondering if seeing on the sand because thats where the nutrients are?

perhaps adding something like a cucumber, would assist in getting it under control.

fwiw had great luck with gha with reef flux also something my coral beauty would eat.
For manual removal try a spoon. Rinse the sand you take out with it and return.

Does it look like this up close?

if so it calothrix, ive had luck adding nitrate to battle this. It creates an environment macros can out compete it.
