So after getting over a crazy hair algea few weeks now the algea of the month is this brown algea that seems to love plastic and my frag disks, any idea what it is and how to rid it?

Dang algae! If it's not one type, it's another. Is it easy to wipe off with your finger or is it more of a layered type?

Hey I had a little 30g frag tank and I was getting some mad hair algae in there. Was going to add a small tang in there for a short amount of time but never did. Put two emerald crabs in there just for a small bubble algae outbreak and they destroyed the green hair algae. I mean not a speck of it! I didnt even do a water change or anything.

This is just a holding tank for a few months till my new tnk is set up. It is brown and most does blow off some things but others don't . Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it?

I'm guessing it may just be the typical brown algae that will form on white plastic. Perhaps some snail will get rid of it but it my be something you have to manually remove from time to time.

Tank water and rock are about a year old. I transferred everything from my 50g got rod of a few thing and packed everything in a 20g till my 135 is done. Everything should be built and ready at the end of the summer.
