Have a 28g nano tank cycled and running for 3 months or so.

PO4 was running .25. I upgraded to a ro/DI a week ago and PO4 is down to zero

I've been battling gha prior to getting PO4 down. It has slowed down but I have now noticed some bubble algae in hard to get to spots.

I have reduced lights to 8 hours a day. Originally was at 11 but figured this was contributing to may algea.

CUC

10 misc small hermits
5 misc snails
1 sand shifting starfish
2 emerald crabs
1 coral banded shrimp

Fish

2 clownfish
1 watchmen goby
1 six line wrasse. (In qt will be for 3 more weeks)

Have a protien skimmer and using media basket with purigen and chemi pure

Been changing water 4 gallons every week and pulling and scrubbing as much gha as I can with a toothbrush

Will the algae slowly fade away or do I need to take additional steps

It will fade and it will come back with the different change you make to your tank. Do as you are doing and monitor things. If you are not testing for No3 test for them.
