Looking at getting rid of my algea. I'm showing little to no phosphates which the algea is absorbing? I am looking in to some sorta phosphate remover, is there a liquid remover or will I have to spend alot of $$ to get a reactor?? Any info is apperciated. I included some pics.

Phosguard or GFO have worked the best for me. Phosguard does best without a reactor. I'd use the correct dose but change it every 4 days or so for a few weeks. I'd also look at doing a big blackout, running crazy amounts of phosphate free carbon, big and frequent water changes, a bigger skimmer perhaps, less feeding, a zebrosoma tang and a rabbitfish, some big turbo zebra snails. A healthy sea hare may be a useful temporary addition if you can find one locally. I'd go after the algae from as many angles as possible and then give it some time.

I've never used a phosphate lowering additive but maybe others can chime in. BTW, nice colonies !

I am not sure if that is Dino, but you should check out H2O2. Here is the link.

Either way, I would manually remove it with your hand as much as possible rinsing your hand in a cup of water after each pinch and try to not let any float away.

Also, many run GFO in a bag in a high flow area of the sump. Maybe try PO4x4 or any GFO.

BRS sell good gfo and removing it by hand is a good start. A seahare will knock it out quick but you will need a place for it to go after it has done its job. Or it will starve and cause water quality issues.

Think brightwell sells liquid po4 remover, I've used it. Works awesome. Too awesome in fact, start with a low dose. Think I started at 3mL on a 120 w/55 sump, Hanna said my po4 was at ~1.3 ppm initially. After a few weeks I was holding steady at .02 ppm. Preferably, I'd like to lower my levels slower but this stuff works good. Watch your alk, as this product lowers it quickly.

PhosphatE, I think.

I've gotten rid of Dinos and Cyano with a three day blackout. Coral will be fine.

Started my hydrogen peroxide treatment last night 1ml per 10gal. Also adjusting lighting times. Will post pics as treatment continues.
