I hace not seen un person the Tunze, does not include some kind of grill/mesh in the top? An easy fix would be a nylon sock on the return lineI recently purchased a tunze 3181 algea reactor. before i set this up i wondering how do prevent loose cheato going back to the display.

I saw that wasn’t sure that’s what it did. I was concerned by what others had wrote about other reactorsI have No issues with this at all.
The plate on top blocks it, but it spins in the reactor.
What is the head height. I set mine up for an all in one set and I had to get a bigger power pack from tunze to create more powerI just set up the 3181 externally and the pump will not push the water to the unit and it is turned up to 100%. Is there a simple way to prime this thing that someone can suggest?
thanks.
If it’s above your sump you don’t need more power. Make sure the cap at the pump isn’t restricting the intake. Your prob is air in the hoses. Prime it up and you should be good.My sump is 14 or 15" high and I even lifted the pump up in the sump. Looks like I may have a bit of water in the tube right by the reactor and a bit also in it, so perhaps I may have to make sure all of the water is drained out....perhaps air is in the tube. Frustrating...
Prime it how? How to get air out of the hoses? If it’s above your sump you don’t need more power. Make sure the cap at the pump isn’t restricting the intake. Your prob is air in the hoses. Prime it up and you should be good.
Fill the canister with water. And as much of the hoses as possible. Then turn it on. If it doesn’t push the water thru. Keep squeezing the silicone hose like a stress ball, this will help prime the hosePrime it how? How to get air out of the hoses?
Did you get it to workThank you!
