algea scrubber cleaning

hi I just got a new scrubber and it is filling up in the bottom and the screen. do I need to remove everything from the bottom or just clean out half the bottom or completely and leave some on screen

Does it have a built-in overflow design? If so, I only clean the bottom when it overflows. I know they say to clean one side every other week or so but I've found that after my tank matured and algae is under control, I clean both sides about every 2 weeks. Just make sure to leave a little.

So if screen full and bottom up to extra drain clean bottom and half screen ? Thanks

Yeah, pretty simple. It never hurts to clean the bottom though if you are in there...
