The brown or the fuzzy?

Can you get closer?

DId you add some rock?

Oh and how's the rest of the tank Doing? You were uppin the game last we spoke.

Looks like hair algae covered in detritus?

Oooh, the "brown stuff"? Maybe diatoms? I would take a turkey baster to the rocks. Should go away after that?

If you take a tooth brush to it it really don't come off it has hair like idk underneath the brown.. it's a buddies tank he's been battling for some time now. and @saltyfilmfolks the tank is cycled I believe . . I haha I laugh cause it's not funny but am moving out... haha tonight? so I'm in the process of tearing down a 20 gal and 75 gallon to move 30 miles away.. soo.... they will all be dry in a few hours haha.. let's say it was a quick decision...

There are reddish parts in the brown patches. I think it´s cyanobacteria with diatoms, a frequent combination. The cyanos (genus Oscillatoria) make the patchy structure and where they are thicker they dominate with their carmine color. Diatoms are frequently found together with cyanos and make the brown color.
