I'm having an algee problem and wondering what I should do.
It looks like hair algee, but it's red. I scrub the rock every other day with a toothbrush and it just comes back.
Paramaters are:
Alk 8.8
Sal. 1.026
Cal 454
Nitrate 0- nyos and red sea
Nitrite 0- red sea, 9ppb=0.03ppm hanna ulr
NH4 0.007
PO4 0 red sea, 18ppb=0.06ppm hanna ulr
I am expecting nh4 to rise since one of my Chromis went into the overflow and i cant get to him without dismantling stand pipes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks like a common slime algae. Are you carbon dosing? how is your snail population?

What are your numbers for your nutrients? Phosphates and nitrates. Looks like you're dealing high phosphates or nitrates and like suggested when carbon and if you're not running GFO start running it. You're looking for numbers for the phosphates of 0.02 in nitrates between three and five PPM

Will look into GFO and start feeding more to get nitrates up from 0. Thank you

Also, LFS only had Mexican turbo's any suggestions on an online place for snails?

Were phosphates at?

If you need to get them down to .01 and that should help
